What is batik?
Batik is a centuries-old Indonesian craft, done entirely by hand. Hot wax is pressed onto fabric with a copper stamp, pattern by pattern, then dyed by hand.
Why this piece won't come back
Every Banua piece starts in the hands of artisans in Bali, Indonesia. Because each fabric is dyed and stamped by hand, the same color and pattern only ever comes in fewer than 5 pieces. So once this combination is gone, we can't make the exact same piece again. The next batch will carry a new pattern, dried under a different sun.

Care & Maintenance
Hand wash cold with mild detergent (or gentle cycle in a laundry net).
Wash separately on first wash (hand-dyed artisan fabric).
Line dry in the shade. Do not tumble dry, twist, or bleach.
